5Universal door step shields 2004 Expedition
By William C. Adams
With some trimming and time these worked just fine on my 2004 Expedition. 1 1/2 hours for initial fit-up with the additional store bought two sided tape then 30 minutes for screws installation the next weekend. It took 2 packs of step shields to have enough for all 4 doors on the SUV. Trim off the 90 degree lip then trim to length with sharp scissors, slowly, using masking tape as a guide edge on the under side of the shield. Set in the sun for a while for prior bending to fit then install plenty of tape to the shield. Two strips of 1/2" wide on each flat surface of the step shield then set onto Suv. Always clean surfaces to be taped with rubbing alchohol and a lint free wipe first. I had to add self tapping screws to help hold them in place since the tape was not enough on all edges. They would lift up a little. 8 black screws in each front door shield and 6 in each rear door shield. Equally spaced and near the edges. Tap the screw into place, remove and apply clear sili cone glue to hole then reinstall the screw. Do not over tighten. I used a drill to tap the screws only and then a screwdriver by hand to tighten. Not a problem and makes them look more fractory and safer. I'm really happy with the finished job.

5They work great!
By Brandon
I installed these on my Chevy Cruze and they were easy to trim and install. The installation only took me about a total of 45 minutes and now my door sills are protected. I'm also impressed by how well these things stick hopefully I don't have to pull them off any time soon ha!
