4Nice product.... BUT
By johnny cockalotta
I purchased this set of DeeZee Chrome step tubes for my 2011 Silverado. When the box arrived it showed signs of distress most likely due to the lengthy box it was packed in. First impression was box damaged so the contents were probably damaged. Not the case. A stroke of fortune there because the content were really not packed great at all. This set cost me well over $450 bucks so then why does the manufacturer package them in plastic sleaves and drop them inside a box and call it packaged? I have purchased lesser items and they were enclosed within styrofoam to be protected. The hardware bags were sealed and dropped into the box as well slopping around while in shipment.

I must tell you that I am a definate do-it-yourselfer handyman. I can do just about anything. When I attempted to put these onto my truck the directions that are enclosed do not give accurate discription of how to do that. Black & white photos that are small and barely ledgeable make this proj ect even more difficult. You would think the manufacturer would include instructions with color pictures. They allow you to distinguish better. I suppose they are looking to save a buck. Luckily I was able to go online and get that print out in color allowing me to figure out the left from the right side. They don't even spell that out for you. You have to determine that from the pictures. The directions are very poorly written for you folks!! Then to make matters worse, the hardware was lacking. I didn't have enough hardware to complete the job. I needed to visit my local hardware store and purchase additional nuts and bolts. This set me back an additional $8 bucks plus my time to stop what I was doing and get the needed materials. I was frustrated and would recommend that customers think twice about their purchase. DeeZee lacks in customer service.

All-in-all they were installed and they look and function great. Just way too many unnecessary headaches involved.< /p>
